"On a major street" "in a safe neighborhood", this "busy" monster built in 1950 "really needs a full renovation" and more staff (especially at check-in), but it's still a "good budget" option for "families and business travelers" looking for something "no-frills" and "comparable to a motel"; the WiFi costs $8 a day and the "paid parking lot is often full", but there are "frequent" 24-hour shuttles to LAX and back (it's just "five minutes" away).

It was a good value.
The bed was hard as a rock, the elevator was tiny, and there were stairs that you had to carry your suitcase up.

Overall, the hotel was pretty good for the price.

The location was great!
The parking was very far away, and valet parking was not an option.

The air conditioner was not working, and the ice machines were out; hotel did not offer any amenities to accommodate its customers. The room was far, as well as the parking.

The restaurant was decent.
Rooms were not comfortable.

What a dump. Dirty and stained sheets, bathroom not cleaned, carpets not vacuumed and had trimmed toe nails on them, no air conditioning, very noisy with windows open because of no air conditioning, visible insects in room, an overall disaster. ...read more

Long lines, smelly, old and worn down, unfriendly.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Upon arrival, the lines were out the lobby door with only 2 staff attending only 10 guests. It took nearly 45 minutes to check in with only 5 guest ahead of me. The hotel was old and exterior paints and interior wallpapers were peeling off. The main lobby was nice, but on the way to my room the hallways were smelly and the carpets were worn out and smelly. The room was very small with torn carpets and clogged tub. We could feel the springs on the bed. I have stayed at better Days Inn or Howard Johnson. I strongly object that this hotel is still a 3 star hotel when clearly this facility at best is a 1 1/2 star. ...read more

Nice environment and very close to the airport (5-10 minutes drive).
The parking for car is located far away so had to walk (Bad if rain or single at night).

When my family arrive at the hotel the 1st impressive was wow, so big and nice. Check-in was fast and proceed to the room. Had 2 twin side bed cos traveling with groups. The room was generally clean; bathroom for decent.
The open concept car park is located outside hotel so make sure you unload everything at the lobby.

I appreciated how close it was to restaurants and shopping centers.
Very big and seems to be going through remolding.

I enjoyed my stay, it was quiet and clean. I would stay again and again.

Convenient to the airport and to activities and events in the El Segundo community.
Ceiling in front of door collapsed, left mess all over the floor. We called, were told someone would clean, no one showed up.

Room noisy and cramped. While it was a non smoking room it was about 10 feet down from a smoking area and was over a patio with smoking allowed and during much of the evening the smoke was very bothersome. ...read more
